the walk to school
suddenly seemed too short
my stomach churning the whole way
I climbed up the stairs,
wishing I could do it in slow motion
groups of kids fluttering in the hallway
the foundation of everything seemed so shaky
nevous smiles
"good luck"
the identical directions began
as they always did
making me a little calmer, maybe
but mostly just empty words
the directions were ending
"You may begin"
My heart dropped
and in a second I did
and it didn't seem so bad anymore
but still pretty bad

Memoir Poem
Danial Khoja
The First day :
Its finally the first day of school
I jumped up on my feet
Who will I meet
Will it be good
Or bill it be bad
I said to my mom "will it be bad?"
She said "don't be sad"
So I set off
When I walked in a saw in
I saw a garbage bin
And also my friends there
I met my teachers
My teachers met me
I had a blast at school
And when I came home I said
"Wow that was fast"

Cathy's Story Poem #1
Love
Love is both a pleasant and unpleasant feeling,
We all hold something close and dear to our hearts,
Whether its our pets,
family members,
or even loved ones,
Love is like a roller coaster,
We go on crazy spins,
and even have our ups and downs,
each containing with a different story,
at the end of the day,
Love might be a small word,
But it has a big meaning.
Story Journal #1
I wrote this poem to show that although love might just be a word it is expressed with many different emotion, and obstacles. When loving someone or something there are many challenges you have to overcome. You may not like it,but it'll be worth it in the end.In lines 1-5 "Love is both a pleasant and unpleasant feeling,we all hold something close and dear to our hearts, whether its our pets, family members,or even loved ones."I wrote this to show that love is expressed in many different feelings and we all love someone/something that is very close to our hearts.I also used similes in this poem.Such as "Love is like a roller coaster".I am comparing love to a roller coaster because love acts like that in some kind of way. With its unexpected spins, and their ups and downs. We also have to face and over come these obstacles. In lines 10-12 "At the end of the day,Love might be a small word, but it has a big meaning".I wrote this to show that at the end of the day although love might just be a word.It comes with all the different emotions, and challenges.
Angelina's Story Poem #4 (memoir poem)
THE TRIP
In August 2015,
I was starting to feel more like a teen.
My first time out of the state.
It was like an open gate.
When we got in our rented car,
we prepared for our travel far.
And when we reached PA,
all I could say was yay.
We went to an amusement park,
where there were water rides too.
I got a snow cone.
It was all so new.
As the day crept to eve,
to our hotel we went.
It was a cozy place.
So better than a tent.
In the morning,
we got breakfast across the street.
We met friends.
It was all so neat.
~Angelina Lambros
Angelina's Story Journal #4
I wrote the poem "The Trip" a memoir poem, because of me and my family's trip to Hershey Park, Pennsylvania. I described how it was in August 2015, and that the park had a water ride section too. I explained how it was my first time being out of the state. It was a new experience. I used details. Such as how I said that we rented a car, and how the trip was far. By saying, "...when we reached PA, all I could say was yay," I'm showing that I was very happy to be there.
I explained what I did at the park besides rides. According to stanza 3, "I got a snow cone." I also explained that we got a hotel too. I described what it was like there. Based on stanza 4, "...to our hotel we went. It was a cozy place." I even explained what I did in the morning.
When explaining what I did in the morning in stanza 5, I said that we got breakfast down the street at a place. In the last lines of stanza 5, I said one detail, and a summarizing sentence. On that day, I had met friends down by the pool near our hotel. "We met friends." In my summarizing sentence, I said what the whole trip had felt like for me. I said it was neat. "It was all so neat."

Ethan's StoryPoem7: Nature
Nature
Nature lies within our soul
It says so in these majestic scrolls.
Nature is us in another form
Nature has its own beauty, even with a storm.
As years pass, nature starts to disappear,
But we look at it, as if we cheer.
Without nature, there would be no you or me,
So why don't you think about it, lets start with glee,
Nature is the place where everyone is free.
Nature is what builds up our bodies,
Going outside and feeling nature can be one of my hobbies.
Nature is the only lurking positive alley,
There's even more wonder in it's alley.
Nature lies within our soul
It says so in these majestic scrolls.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wrote this poem to show how everyone should be kind to nature and not ruin or destroy its beautiful sights and seeings. I repeated the beginning two lines to the last two lines, "Nature lies within our soul, It says so in these majestic scrolls." To explain that Nature is so important, it feels like it is in our souls. In the second lines, "It says so in these majestic scrolls." I exaggerated and I didn't actually mean real scrolls, but I wrote that to show how much of importance it is.
In lines 7-9, "Without nature, there would be no you or me, So why don't you think about it, lets start with glee, Nature is the place where everyone is free." I included these lines to show that nature should be appreciated and enjoyed, and with out nature, we wouldn't be alive, and that nature is the place where you can roam free anytime, anywhere.
Ethan's StoryPoem6: Wonders
Wonder
Everyone has to wonder
As one person or as a cluster.
You had to wonder spectacular things,
Like what would the next day bring.
Everyone is curious
Maybe on how people are furious.
Wonders make everyone try to solve it,
When it happens, the golden bulb emits.
Smart people wonder everything
The Theory of Everything.
Wonders can be anything you imagine,
Once you get it, go into action
Wonders go to infinity
To the state of divinity.
Wonders,
Everyone has to wonder
As one person or as a cluster.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wrote this poem to show that wonders to people are like questions about everything and curiosity about everything. In lines 7-8, " Wonders make everyone try to solve it, When it happens the golden bulb emits." This quote show that when you know what, when, how, where, and why, you feel satisfied and that you feel better when something is done or finished or completed. In lines 1-2, "Everyone has to wonder, As one person or as a cluster." I showed that people can come up with questions or theories with anyone or anything.
I repeated the beginning 2 lines to the last 2 lines because I feel and think that people all around should wonder and question everything, which is important. In lines 11-12, "Wonders go to infinity To the state of divinity." It shows that wonders can go on forever and ever until something is finished with the wonder or theory. In lines 9-10, "Wonders can be anything you imagine, Once you get it, go into action." This quote shows that once you get clues, spring into action and do something about it.
Ethan's StoryPoem4: My Morning View
My Morning View
Today when I woke up,
And rubbed the golden fur of my pup,
I silently walked outside and saw
It was so beautiful, the sight had no flaw.
After that, I took a refreshing cup of tea,
And there I saw it, a deer starting to flee
Then, I went outside for the morning sunshine
Damn! That gorgeous morning was just too fine.
Lets see if there is anything else, that's extra-divine
The sun goes up and the moon goes down
And there, my disappointment has drown,
Bye-bye, see ya later frown.
Day sways away and night takes over
This morning felt like a four-leafed clover
My morning view...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wrote this poem to show that how each morning is very wide-side and beautiful in every way, I wrote this poem to explain or elaborate that you should capture and treasure each beautiful moment you have a chance to get into. In lines 13-14, "Day sways away and night takes over This morning felt like a four-leafed clover" I elaborated that these types of perfect mornings is rare, and very special. In lines 10-12, "The sun goes up and moon goes down And there, my disappointment has drown, Bye-bye, see ya later frown." I showed that when the mornings come, my sadness and worries fades and happiness and joy fills it up.
I also wrote this poem to show that how special mornings like the ones I just described, should be remembered and should be honored because special mornings are not always like that, and that this is once in a bit, which is potentially rare and unique. In lines 8-9, "Damn! that gorgeous morning was just too fine. Lets see if there is anything else, that's extra-divine" I introduced that these mornings are really fabulous and pretty and that there might be way more than that to go for.
