Cathy's Story Poem #1

Love

Love is both a pleasant and unpleasant feeling,

We all hold something close and dear to our hearts,

Whether its our pets,

family members,

or even loved ones,

Love is like a roller coaster,

We go on crazy spins,

and even have our ups and downs,

each containing with a different story,

at the end of the day,

Love might be a small word,

But it has a big meaning.

        I wrote this poem to show that although love might just be a word it is expressed with many different emotion,and obstacles.When loving someone or something there are many challenges you have to overcome.You may not like it,but it'll be worth it in the end.In lines 1-5 "Love is both a pleasant and unpleasant feeling,we all hold something close and dear to our hearts,whether its our pets,family members,or even loved ones."I wrote this to show that love is expressed in many different feelings and we all love someone/something that is very close to our hearts.
        I also used similes in this poem.Such as "Love is like a roller coaster".I am comparing love to a roller coaster because love acts like that in some kind of way.With its unexpected spins,and their ups and downs.We also have to face and over come these obstacles.In lines 10-12 "At the end of the day,Love might be a small word,but it has a big meaning".I wrote this to show that at the end of the day although love might just be a word.It comes with all the different emotions,and challenges.
