 POEM #1                                                The last goodbye
                                      Sadly people don't last forever,
we must treat everyone we meet
the best possible way, we must
                                                         treat our loved ones especially,
great, as if they were a mystical
creature that is the last of its kind.

We should not have to regret our
actions when they pass, and we
never know when the last goodbye
will be, you shouldn't have to regret,
Your memories should be filled with
                                                          color, laughter and happiness,Time
flies, a day seems like a minute, we should
be kind while we still have time

Every creature is living and is just

like you, if you kill a creature, you
                                                        might be killing someones mother,
treat all with respect, so karma will
treat you with respect, we never know
the last goodbye, so treat one with respect
                                                                    before they pass by.

                                                                   POETRY JURNAL #1

I wrote this poem to show people that we need to treat everyone we meet with respect either you like that person or not. One day that person might suddenly pass away and you will regret how you treated them. This poem is for my grandfather who recently passed away. I still have some things that i regret saying and doing. This was my inspiration to write this poem since this happened so suddenly. I did not know when our last goodbye will be.Although when the last goodbye did come we had very colorful and happy memories like the poem states. We should treat everyone with respect so then when they pass away we will not have to deal with grief. Also the famous saying "what goes around comes around"so if you treat people with respect they will treat you with respect. The poem also states that you should not only be kind to humans but also all creatures. For example if you kill a deer you might be killing another deers mother and preventing the deer from reproducing so we can have more animals. In this poem I included some rhymes, hyperbole's and repetition. I included these in my poem because it added a mood to the poem and made it seem more serious. I wanted to tell people that life is a lot more exiting when you are kind. People pass away right before our eyes, and when they pass away we should be left with happy memories instead of grief.Like the poem states "we should be kind while we have time". I also said that you should treat your loved ones as if they were a mystical creature. When i said this i meant you should make them feel like they are special.Every person is special in their own way. Kindness also benefits us because we will not be so sorrow in life and when some one passes. My goal of writing this poem was to show people how important kindness is and also that kindness is cool. This is the reason i wrote this poem.
